What it’s like to be a Social Media Intern: Okkar

Have you wondered what it’s like to be an intern at one of Melbourne’s top Social Media Agency?

At the Meaningful Social Club, we have a team of superstar Social Media Interns who play a crucial role in helping us manage our clients. This is a chance for students and recent graduates to gain real-world experience in social media and digital marketing.

I’m Okkar Myo, and here is what it was like to be a Social Media Intern at the Meaningful Social Club.

My days looked like scheduling content across different social platforms, to engaging with our clients' audiences. Yep, I had to become a bit of a social chameleon, understanding each client's vibe and tailoring their socials accordingly. It was a challenge, but it was also rewarding.

Picture this: I got to be part of a client shoot with kittens and dogs. Creativity was in the air, and I got to witness the collaborative efforts that go into crafting the perfect shot firsthand (especially with pets!).

What made my internship even more enriching was the incredible team. The atmosphere was one of support, collaboration, and growth. My colleagues weren't just coworkers; they were mentors and friends. We shared ideas, asked questions, and challenged each other to do better.

In particular, Natalie is truly the driving force behind the Meaningful Social Club. Her belief in providing young talents like me with opportunities to learn and grow in the social media marketing industry is truly commendable. I'm ready to take the lessons I've learned here with me as I embark on my future career in content marketing.
