Play Tennis

Tennis Australia have a mandate to advance and nurture the sport of tennis and its facilities in Australia. Part of that is ensuring tennis is inclusive, welcoming and that it appeals to the next generation.

As a Social Media Consultant, I was brought in to craft the social messaging for the Play Tennis campaign. My objective was to take the existing campaign ideas and create a ‘social first’ content strategy that would appeal to a younger audience.

Key Achievements

  • Crafted a social media strategy for the new Play Tennis brand.

  • Introduced new Insta-worthy content strands to appeal to a younger audience and women in particular.

  • Launched Instagram Reels to inspire people to learn the sport.

  • Went back-to-basics with the captions, explaining the different tennis products in an easy-to-understand way.

  • Briefed in the in-house designers to create visually appealing social media graphics that had a completely new look and feel to what had been done in the past.

  • Worked with local tennis clubs and coaches to tell the real stories of tennis, highlighting the diversity in the sport.
