Scrapbook Styling for Artbid’s September Auction

At The Meaningful Social Club, we’re always looking for ways to balance strategy with creativity - making sure every campaign feels both relevant and deeply human. As a creative agency and social media agency, we spend a lot of time thinking about how trends can be reimagined in a way that feels authentic to each brand.

One of the biggest content trends right now is scrapbook styling. You’ve probably seen it filling your Pinterest feed: layered textures, cut-outs, handwritten notes, moodboards. It’s tactile, imperfect, and full of personality. Exactly the kind of content people are craving in an AI-saturated world.

This month, our client Artbid wanted to bring that creative energy into their monthly auction announcement.

The Creative Brief

Each month, Artbid approaches their auctions in a unique and imaginative way. For September, the theme Taking Flight celebrates freedom and movement - inviting collectors to bring artworks of nature, transformation and expression into their homes.

The scrapbook brought the artworks to life in a new way. Layering images, textures, and notes let each piece stand out while still feeling part of the bigger story, giving people a real sense of the collection’s energy and mood.

We saw an opportunity to align the scrapbook format with these ideas: just as flight represents freedom and fluidity, scrapbook collages allow for layers, play, and visual movement.

From Concept to Creation

Our process was deliberately hands-on. And the best part? This isn’t just for brands. If you want to try scrapbook-style content yourself, the steps are simple:

  • First, a set of visual references and artworks was curated to capture the theme.

  • Next, a layout was drafted to guide the balance of imagery and text.

  • Then came the tactile stage: printing, trimming and cutting each piece to size.

  • Finally, the elements were arranged on a corkboard with pins: remixing, matching, and refining until the composition felt alive and cohesive.

The Result

At The Meaningful Social Club, we go beyond the role of a social media agency. Drawing on our in-house photography and content-making practice in Melbourne, we move fluidly between strategy, design, and the creation of imagery and video that bring campaigns like this to life.

The finished scrapbook board became the foundation for the campaign rollout. It is repurposed across Artbid’s digital channels as stills and short-form video. The content felt both on-trend and timeless, striking the balance between creative storytelling and Artbid’s sophisticated, collector-first identity.

Why It Matters

By tapping into a rising trend and executing it in a way that was thoughtful and on-brand, we helped Artbid stand out in the art auction space. The scrapbook approach didn’t just announce an auction, but it created an accessible, human-centred piece of storytelling that invited audiences to feel the energy of Taking Flight.

At The Meaningful Social Club, we’re passionate about bringing campaigns to life in ways that feel fresh, research-led and deeply human. As a creative agency and social media agency, we’re immersed in these conversations every day and understand how to translate trends into timeless storytelling.

For Artbid, scrapbook styling offered a perfect balance of trend and timelessness: a creative approach that spoke to their audience while staying true to their brand.
